Have you ever seen God open an amazing door of blessing, and be left standing there with your mouth gaping open in awe and tears of joy in your eyes?
I know I have. Many times actually. But one such occasion I’ll never forget is when Melissa Taylor, the Director of Online Bible Studies at Proverbs 31 Ministries, pulled me into her office and told me they had chosen my new book Love Life Again: Finding Joy When Life is Hard, for the fall 2018 Proverbs 31 Online Bible Study.
Not only am I still amazed at the fact that God helped me write this entire book (and Unsinkable Faith last year, for that matter) during the most painful and difficult experience of my life, but that He swung open this door of opportunity for the message He laid on my heart to reach far and wide. Such a sweet gift from His heart to bless mine beyond belief.
I want to share this blessing with you, and invite you to join me in the bible study which begins Tuesday, September 4th, 2018. It’s completely free and all you need is a copy of Love Life Again, your Bible, and a phone or computer with internet access. You can do the study online in your own time and at your own convenience. You can also sign up for an online small group through P31 if you’d like to join in with other people as you walk through the six week study.
In this study, you’ll receive a reading plan, weekly encouraging blog posts and videos from our OBS team, Live Facebook happenings, and six video teaching messages from me called “Take a Break with Tracie” where I talk about experiences not mentioned in the book but which are applicable to the study and hopefully inspiring to others. You can also be a part of our weekly social media #thankfultakeover which is going to be fun!
I also want to invite you to participate in the Love Life Again Pep Rally tonight, August 30th at 8:00pm ET via Facebook Live! I’ll be sharing a teaching from my heart and we’ll be having some fun giveways too! The Pep Rally will take place on the P31 OBS Facebook page. Lastly, there is also a four week live conference call teaching series which can be purchased for $14.99 if desired, where myself and other inspiring authors and counselors will be teaching from God’s Word and giving practical application tips to help believers learn to love the lives God has given them even if they aren’t the lives they thought they’d be living.
If you’re going through a hard time for any reason, if your heart is broken or grieving, if you’re scared of what the future holds, or if you think joy is a thing of the past, my deepest prayer is that you’ll sign up to participate and give God an opportunity to speak peace, hope and joy back into your heart and your life.
You don’t have to be on the other side of your problem to live with joy.

I was just informed about This bible study today. I am beyond excited to participate in the study. I am going to purchase the book today from LifeWay. Was the Facebook Pep Rally recirded?
Tracie I joined this study but I can not figure it out. I can’t find any direction on what I’m supposed to be doing or reading. Please help!

Yesterday, Sunday, October 8, i WAS CRUSHED !! REALLY TRULY HURT !!
I WANTED to join my Church’s Choir SO BAD !!! I approached the Choir Director and asked if a person needed to audition before joining cause a couple of people in the Choir said No, just come on Thursday while a few more said Yes, you have to sing and the Choir Director has to know you can read Music.
When I approached the Choir Director – IN A VERY ABRUPT TONE OF VOICE – he said YES (meaning I would have to audition).
THEN he said “I have SEEN YOU SING and you aren’t eligible to join the Choir” !!! I said you have SEEN ME sing ??? But, you haven’t HEARD me sing !!!!! He said there were too many women in the Choir anyway.
THEN he said “THE CHOIR IS NOT FOR YOU !!! There are other things you can do in the Church” AND TURNED HIS BACK AND WALKED AWAY !!!
Traci, I sang in a SPECIAL Choir in High School AND I sang ALL MY TEENAGE YEARS IN A CHURCH BACK HOME IN GEORGIA.
CAN YOU BELIEVE A CHOIR DIRECTOR – A MAN OF GOD, SUPPOSEDLY, SAID THIS TO ME, ACTED THIS WAY, AND TURNED HIS BACK FROM ME – REJECTED ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I WANT SO BAD to tell our Minister (which, so far, I have a good rapport with) and my sister said NO, don’t! Your Minister and his wife likes you and it would only cause hard feelings TOWARDS YOU. That the Minister HAS to have the Choir Director !!! (By the way, I am NEW in this Church.)
TRACIE, YOU JUST DON’T KNOW HOW BAD I WANTED TO JOIN THE CHOIR ! I LOVE MUSIC AND RECEIVE GREAT JOY IN SINGING !!!
HOW could he say that he SAW me singing and NEVER HEARD ME SINGING, so therefore, I don’t have a good enough voice to join the Choir. The Choir NEVER COMES DOWN to joing the Congregation. He HAD to have SEEN ME by looking down at the Congreation cause I sit practically on the front row.
I am overweight. Could that be it? YET, the NEW Association Pastor (a young lady) is WAY OVERWEIGHT !!!
I have an arthritic leg and sometimes I need a cane and he saw me with one. But, I don’t need a cane to stand and sing.
To me, WHY couldn’t he HEAR ME SING with some Choir Members to make his decision. IF, THEN, I was WAY OFF COURSE, MAKE THE DECISION, BUT TO TELL ME HE SAW ME SINGING TO MAKE HIS DECISION.
AGAIN, SHOULD I TALK TO OUR MINISTER ABOUT THIS.
TRACIE, PLEASE PRAY I WILL FORGIVE HIM ! I THOUGHT I HAD FOUND A CHURCH THAT I REALLY REALLY LIKED !!! I retired and moved to Florida to be with my sister and have been “Church Shopping” for awhile now. Hate to admit it BUT TRUE. MOST of the Churches have SO MANY CLICKS AND THE MINISTER DOESN’T BOTHER TO GET TO KNOW YOU NOR KNOW YOUR NAME !!!! HONEST!!
BUT THIS MINISTER REMEMBERED MY NAME THE SECOND TIME HE SAW ME AND HAS BEEN SO FRIENDLY !!! AND MOST OF THE PEOPLE ARE VERY VERY FRIENDLY !!!!!!!!!!
AND NOW, THE CHOIR DIRECTOR ACTING SO UNCHRISTIAN !!!!
MAKES ME WANT TO QUIT GOING THERE !! But, maybe this is EXACTLY WHAT THE DEVIL WANTS ????
