Faith Filled Friday – Week 7

Can you believe it’s been seven weeks since we began this journey of discovering how and why our lives still to count to God? It’s amazing how quickly this has come to a close, and that this is our last Faith Filled Friday!

I pray God has spoken to your heart in powerful ways – not only about your value to Him, but also about the value of your life and the fact that He loves you so much that He has prepared you for a great purpose. Purpose for your every day life, and for your future.  A purpose that can glorify Him in ways that nobody else can do – except you!

I’ve heard from so many of you over the past few weeks, in emails, messages, blog comments, and on Facebook,  and to say I’m excited and overwhelmed with joy about what God is doing in so many women’s lives would be an understatement!  I am literally left humbled and in awe of what Jesus has done through this study and through the sisterhood that has formed in our sweet online community. Myself and the YLSC Bible Study team stand amazed at how far so many women have come since we began and we are rejoicing with you!

At the beginning of this study, the majority of the comments were focused on how women saw themselves … as ‘less-than’, inferior, damaged, or broken and how they were really struggling to believe God loved them much less had a purpose for their lives. But now, although we all still have daily struggles and learning to truly love ourselves for who we in Christ will continue to be a journey, I see comments from dozens and dozens of women who have experienced a breakthrough and are beside themselves with joy and excitement about their new found faith and passion for Christ! Transformation is truly a beautiful thing. Smiles. :’)

But friends, the journey doesn’t stop here – it has only just begun. Now, God is calling us to give our very best. To do more than we believe we are capable of – in the small things He puts in front of us as we carry out our normal daily routines, and in the big dreams He has put in our hearts of which we can strive for and work towards.

I want to close out our study with a clip of the death crawl from the Facing the Giants movie that I talked about in the last chapter of Your Life Still Counts.  As you watch the video, imagine yourself facing a task you think is impossible, or pursuing a purpose you formerly thought was beyond your capabilities, and then picture God as your Coach. A Coach who is constantly reminding you to give your very very best and not to quit until you’ve got nothing left or at least until you’ve accomplished more than you ever thought possible. In Him, and through Him.

God’s gifted you with the ability to do something only you can do. Make a choice today to not waste those gifts!  Even when you feel like you’re almost out of strength, the journey hurts, the pain burns, or it’s just way too hard –  ask God to give you the strength, courage and perseverance to keep going until you reach the end zone.

Sweet sister, God is calling you to great things, abundant life, peace, joy and divine purpose – not despite your past, but because of it. You have been called to live as proof of the power of Jesus Christ to this lost and broken world and I want to leave you with one last reflection question:   Can God count on you?

The winner of the faith earrings from Wednesday’s giveaway was “Rachelle”.

Thank you all for participating in this study. My prayers are with you as you push forward in faith and I pray God makes His Presence, peace and purpose come alive in your heart in the days and months ahead.

Hugs and blessings,

Best movie scene ever! Such a message here. I especially like the blindfold. Oh how we see limitations in front of us, don’t we? All we need to do is listen to His voice. Thanks for the reminder today!

I have tears streaming down my face. Thank you so much this. I had a knee replacement 8 weeks ago and I am doing well. However, I am a flight attendant and the job has gotten harder. I have not worked in over a year and I am projected to return in 6-8 weeks…I WAS scared to death that I would not be able to it. After reading the blog and watching the movie, I truly believe that God spoke to me through you. He always shows up at the exact right time. I now believe that I can do my job and be the leader that I have always been…maybe even better than before. I fly the lead position and my crew and the pilots look to me for direction and expect me to make decisions. I will start work hardening therapy next week and watching this video is going to be my inspiration. God bless you and thank you from the depths of my heart. I feel God’s presence in a way that I can not explain…so blessed. I woke an hour ago dreading to get up, full of worry and confusion. I can breathe now.

Tracie, thank you for an amazing online study of YLSC! Women’s lives have been dramatically changed because of the God messages in your book. You might never meet some of these women here on earth, but once we all get to Heaven we should definitely have a YLSC reunion celebration!!

Tracie, I cannot describe the new peace and joy that fill me just now. God has used your book, your teaching, and this study to raise me up. I keep thinking of Esther and her uncle’s comment about Esther having been “born for such a time as this.” I truly believe God has called, appointed and anointed you to reach many women through Your Life Still Counts. I am grateful to be one of them who was transformed by my experience . Your obedience to go and share has brought wonderful spiritual progress for so many and will continue to do so. Thank you for breathing this sweet and powerful fragrance into my life. Ready to give my absolute best for God. To God be the glory!

wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that was awesome i loved it .never saw he movie .but I will now .such inspiration to keep going ,dont quit. I loved that .there are sooo many times that i have been sooooo close to the edge of giving up and somehow found the courage or strength to get back up ,keep going .keep moving .its hard .this life and its cares are HARD ,but he said to cast those cares on him ( that thing or person on your back) give that weight to him and he would carry it ,so your journey would be lighter.there is a part in the series ” in the steps of the Rabbi”that talk’s about not giving up ,to imagine those that have gone on before you ( parents ,loved ones ) that are sparing you on to the finish line .gives me more awe and reverence to a G-d that would inspire you ,give you everything you need to keep on keeping on .you fall in that ditch ,dont stay there ,do the death crawl and get out of that pit and back on the track. dont give up .I LOVE IT

This has given me the courage to fight my obesity problem once again. I was well on my way two years ago, when feet problems interfered with my walking program. And I gained it all back plus more. I had surgery in Dec and some complication that pushed back the healing date for a few more months. But for the past three weeks I have been in a swim class two to three times a week and on the other days I hit the exercise circuit. The Doc said if I did it once before, I am in the ten percent of people that can do it again. This time I am doing the journey with God as my coach. And He will have the glory at the end.
Thank you all at YLSC for this study and all the wonderful women along the way. God is smiling on all of us.

Debra , if God calls you to it He will get you through it! He is our sustainer and where we find strength and perseverance to do what seems like an overwhelming task. Praying for physical healing for your feet and for strength and perseverance in your weight loss journey!

I just finished this study fell a bit behind but made it to the end zone. I wanted to thank Tracie for doing this study. I found myself in this book in many ways, through the stories of the women. I too have been abused in all the ways mentioned in this book. I love how you used God’s Word to illustrate your point Tracie. I too have put a child up for adoption and would love to see her again. I had her August 1,1981 just to give you a heads up on how long I have lived with my decision. There have been times I felt I made a mistake but I know that I did what was best for her. I was a teen and still in high school so what kind of life could I have possibly provided for her, her dad walked out of my life when our parents learned of the news. I have always felt that my mom has a part to play in his leaving too because she didn’t like him. It was years later when I ran into him that I learned that I was right. God has since given me a second chance I now have a daughter that has recently turned 19. All the glory of my life totally belongs to God. I would look for my 1st daughter but I don’t know how to go about doing that. So if any one knows please let me know and I would also appreciate prayers that God will open up this door for me. I would love nothing else than for my girls to know each other. God bless all the ladies who did this study.
