I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – trying to raise godly kids in an ungodly world is hard – especially when statistics say that Christianity has declined in the past two decades .
Over the past ten years as my three little cuties have blossomed into wonderful teenagers, my husband and I have had our share of parenting challenges. We have doled out many-a-grounding, monitored texts, confiscated phones, forbid certain clothing items, made them write bible verses and on days even earned the title of “meanest mom in the world”.
But despite the most conscientious efforts to be the perfect mom, none of us can achieve. Sometimes I feel like it’s us against the world. Moms versus society, peer pressure, culture and trends. I know my mother’s generation had it’s own set of challenges, but things have changed so much since we were young.
For example, when I was in high school, I was allowed to have a boyfriend, but could only see him two nights a week.
