SLL Week 4 – Blog Hop Friday

This might have been a hard week for many. I get it.

Who wants to admit that maybe their attitude has been a little overly pessimistic? Who wants to admit that even though they try to positive, they keep stumbling in their efforts?

Who wants to admit their negativity or busyness has possibly caused them to put God on the back burner? Who wants to confess they either haven’t been trusting God for victory over their problems, or that they assumed God had just forgotten all about them and had given up hope?

I certainly don’t, and I doubt you do either. But sweet friends, we are all in this messed up world together, and none of us are immune to doubts, fears, exhaustion, or even being frustrated or angry with others, and even with God. Life is hard, but we don’t have to let our hearts get hard as a result.  We are all human, and all struggle with weaknesses, but our faith can blossom when we admit our weaknesses, and open the door for God help us be more positive on a daily basis, despite the adversities we face.

I am looking forward to reading more on this topic of tackling attitude and busyness through the strength of Christ, and hope to see some awesome blog posts linked up today!

The blog hop topics for this week are as follows:

  • Life is 10% what happens to me, and 90% how I react to it.
  • You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us but a breath. We are merely moving shadows, and all our busy rushing ends in nothing.
  • The Lord replies, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33:14

I loved today’s inspiration reading. September was a particularly challenging month for me, with a little bit of it spilling into October. I’m used to mud being slung at me at times and learned resilience; however, my positive professional attitude was pushed to the limits and I lost my temper after being antagonized by a co-worker.

Thank God for daily doses of His word and for inspirational readings like this!
